The Jeffrey W. Berger Research Scholarship Foundation provides research scholarships for deserving students who are interested in pursuing clinical opportunities in advanced ophthalmology research.
The Berger Award for Research at the University of Pennsylvania (BAR-UP) was created to support UPenn medical students who may be interested in combining serious ophthalmologic research with a clinical practice. In 2021, we introduced the Scheie Hadassah InterNational Exchange (SHINE) Program to provide opportunities for medical students at Scheie to do research at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and students at Hadassah to do research at Scheie. For more information and to apply, please click here.
